AGE 47 moons
GENDER she-cat
RANK loner
CLAN clanless
LOOKS Damiana is a very attractive female. One half of her face is mostly orange, with an icy blue eye, while the other is black, with a yellow eye, and this is separated by a wide stripe of white. She's a long-haired calico with most of her lower half being pure white, and much of her middle back a deep black hue. She's really quite a cat of unusual beauty.
LIKES conversing with spirits, nature, travelling, new experiences, good omens, magic, birth and death, peace, reaching new levels of understanding, transcendence, secrets, learning new things about herself, elderly cats
DISLIKES materialism, responsibilities, being tied down, hateful cats, the closeminded, being misunderstood, fighting, arguing, being part of organization, being controlled, being told what to do
FEARS misinterpreting a sign, being tied down, tight spaces
HOPES to live long and see a lot more (but does not fear death)
OVERALL Many would consider Damiana a strange individual- bizarre, even. They're right, too. Dam is odd, in her beliefs, attitude, actions, and just general essence, really. She believes in magick, spirits, luck, and others. She is highly spiritual, and is sensitive to the universe. Dam senses things in everything, and what others don't see is that she is actually very intuitive. She tends to be non-conventional and solves her problems as well as lives her life uniquely. She communicates with nature and its many voices, and holds nature in the highest respect. Damiana is going to live her own life, no matter what, wherever the wind takes her. She can't be held down; she is simply a free spirit, and this is demonstrated by her nomadic lifestyle. Damiana may seem ethereal at times; she is usually serene, but sometimes she becomes highly emotional. She can also be distant, particularly when involved with the spirits.
Very quirky. Nonjudgmental. Dam is surprisingly tough, and she has a sense of humor about life. She's smart, too, even though she doesn't see things the way others do. She can't tell when others think she's strange.
PAST Born to Kaida and James. James, a handsome long-furred white alleycat with sulky bicolored eyes; the apple of many young queen's eyes. Kaida, a young calico born in the forest, with amber eyes; from a large, highly spiritual, female-dominated family. Kaida was the only one to ever draw James's attention, with her unusual, superstitious behavior, the smell of winter pine clinging to her fur even among the city's stone walls, and most alluring of all, the way she didn't even seem to notice his charm. James fought to win her over where so many would have fought to win him, as the duo explored each other's worlds with the other as a guide. After she gave birth to Damiana, Riven, and Safri, he continued to fight to keep her around, and succeeded in winning her heart and devotion. Kaida was a good mother, raising her two daughters, Damiana and Safri, and her son, Riven, under her traditions and ideals. Damiana grew up between the town and forest, with both rural and urban roots, and was familiar with both from a young age.
Damiana was a freer spirit than her mother, however, and was off and wandering the forest on her own by the age of fourteen moons. She happened upon a young warrior tom called Sunstep, and she was intrigued by him; so cultured was she in interpreting the universe's intentions that she knew only good could come from this, particularly with the omen of the sun standing before her. He wanted her to come back to his camp, and she willingly obliged. Although Forestclan openly disliked her, she didn't appear to notice, and when she became pregnant with Sunstep's kits, everyone congratulated her. It was an easy, swift labor, producing four beautiful, healthy kits. She blessed each of these kits, and she foresaw greatness for them, but she did not stay. The very next morning, she was gone, abandoning her lover and her unnamed kits without a word of farewell.
Those kits grew up and Sunstep went crazy from the loss of Damiana, while she was off on her own adventures, oblivious to their suffering. The same is true of Safri, Riven, James, and Kaida; life went on for Dam while loss was a part of the lives of her family.
