OVERALLWisp is known as a cold and calculating feline who craves power. After being rendered helpless at a point in his past, Wisp fears losing his sanity and control over both himself and others. His fear of dogs and the sea can make him unstable at times.
He can seem charming and very charismatic at times, able to attract she-cats without much effort. However, this tom has a cruel nature and loves to see others hurting. Wisp does everything he does for personal gain.
Rather jealous of the Clans, Wisp detests all clan cats but some part of him believes there is a StarClan. In his twisted way, he sometimes believes they are trying to help him.
PAST
The wind screamed and waves pounded the shore the night a black she-cat named Raven birthed a litter of young. Settled amongst rocks and dune grass, the lonely she-cat bought three kittens into the world. Unperturbed by the storm that heralded their arrival, the kits snuggled close to their mother's belly fur.
Raven had given life to two toms and a she-cat. The first was a large tom with fur as dark as her own. He looked nothing like his father. The kit was named Cimmerian, meaning lack of light. It was a name that meant more than the kit would understand until he was grown. The second eldest was a silver and black tabby tom. His paws were small and his frame slight; Raven named him Wisp. The last of her kits had fur the color of the moon. The silver she-cat was called Witch - a name Raven had once heard from a town-cat.
The proud mother made her home there on the shore of the beach among the rocks and grass. For many moons Raven watched her three kits grow up in peace. Cimmerian was proud but kind, often giving prey to his sister before himself. Witch had a bitter sense of humor. Her fighting skills were better than those of her brothers. Raven saw more of her lost mate in Wisp each day. She misunderstood his need to be stronger than his kin, thinking he was becoming too much like his power-hungry father.
One night, when her other offspring were sleeping, Raven took Wisp down to the sea shore. She told him that she loved him but that she couldn't bare the thought of him following his father's paw steps. Wisp was almost drowned by the time Cimmerian and Witch dragged their mother away and prevented her from pushing Wisp beneath the water again.
After that, Raven vanished. Now seven moons, the three siblings were able to fend for themselves, but each kit struggled to understand their mother's intentions. Where once they had been so close, Wisp began to become less open and brooding. Cimmerian and Witch eventually saw no way to help their brother. Wisp convinced them to leave. Reluctantly, Raven's three kits parted ways.
For moons Wisp wandered across the landscape. He grew to be a strong fighter and an unparalleled hunter, but he felt that something was missing. Wisp met an orange tabby she-cat named Sage on his travels and the two fell in love and became mates. Sage and Wisp made their home on the edges of a forest. They spent some moons together and Sage birthed two kits.
Spark and Heather were soon five moons old. Wisp worked hard to provide for his new family, catching more prey than he had in the past. It was this that attracted the attention of ForestClan. Wisp and Sage fought off the group of Clan cats that came to run them from the forest, but Sage was grievously wounded. Unable to get her help, Wisp knew Sage was going to die.
His beautiful mate made Wisp take Spark and Heather out onto the plains. Sage died defending her family although Wisp knew her wounds would have taken her life anyhow. Wisp's hatred of Clan cats was only worsened when he and his kits had to find a new home after the arrival of CloudClan.
They discovered the beach and made their new home there. Not long after Spark and Heather turned nine moons, a dog attacked them. Wisp tried desperately to save them but he was not fast enough to stop the brute from destroying the only family he had left. Broken and on the edge of losing his mind, Wisp identically stumbled upon the island. He fell into an exhausted dream there and was visited by shimmering cats who whispered things to him he did not understand.
Wisp woke with new purpose and a desire to have his revenge. ForestClan had taken his love and CloudClan his kits. Wisp felt the starry cats had been trying to tell him to avenge his lost kin. He would later discover that the Clans called the cats on the island StarClan.
Now, believing StarClan want the destruction of both Clans, Wisp is setting out to do what he completely thinks is right.
