LOOKS harewhisker's name is almost startlingly accurate when one takes in the muted grays and browns of his short, course coat which is flecked through with bits of paler color here and there. his build, too, is reminiscent of his namesake, as his body is long and extremely wiry. with lengthy, graceful legs to match his spindly tail, a streamlined face and slender torso, his looks match his agility. harewhisker, at a glance, does mostly look like an average tom. his eyes, however, are his most outstanding feature as they are enormous and round, colored the most striking golden.

OVERALL it's almost a challenge to notice this tom, though he's not particularly small or mysterious. it is simply his nature to be a wallflower, watching life go on around him as he's often just too shy to insert himself into conversations or interact much with his clanmates. meeting new cats makes him nervous, as do many other things, like pressure and special tasks. though he loves to prove himself, he hates to be depended upon, fearing he isn't good enough. harewhisker is just a bit introverted, and being around others gets him a bit worked up.
in conversation harewhisker is usually short and taciturn, and it sometimes makes him come off as a bit cold. of course, this is far from the case as harewhisker is far from a rude tom, he just feels rather helpless in a lot of social situations. he is a naturally soft-spoken fellow, and rarely voices his opinions, if he even has any. as it is, harewhisker is very passive, and even a bit of a push-over. his opinions are weak and he is easily impressionable, but he only strives to please.
harewhisker is an extremely faithful tom. in both starclan and forestclan he holds the utmost level of love and adoration, and because of this his intentions are always pure, his heart always kind and his mindset almost always positive. his loyalty for his clan is unwavering, and his selflessness is well known. harewhisker would sacrifice anything for anyone who holds a special place in his heart, including all or any of his clanmates.
all in all, this tom is remarkably shy, but beneath that lies a heart of gold. he would do anything for his clan or in the name of starclan, and loves those who take the time to get to know him with complete devotion. making friends doesn't come easy for him, but those he gets to know earn the companionship of a positive, upbeat, passive fellow. he's often a cheerful fellow, doing his best to pep up those around him. he's a true friend, founding deep commitments to those he grows attached to.
PAST harewhisker was an only-kit, who was absolutely spoiled by his mother. after all, he was her first kit. she would go on to have several litters after him, with a different tom each time. though the rumors and gossip spread like wildfire, one thing couldn't be mistaken and that was dustflower's love of her children.
as an only-kit, harekit never had a playmate and perhaps this is to blame for his inherently loner-like personality. he learned to love from the queens who fussed over him until he became and apprentice, and he learned to be shy from his female mentor who never ceased to playfully flirt with him and relentlessly tease him. it didn't help that she was absolutely stunning, either. she acted like that with all toms though, and poor harepaw's feeble heart didn't stand a chance chasing after her.
at last, he earned his warrior name. over his apprenticeship he had become notable for his skill in tracking, scenting, and hunting. for this, he was given the suffix -whisker. since then, he's done his best to avoid being noticed too much, and even more avoided females as they simply cause problems for him. otherwise, his existance hasn't been far too exciting.
