LOOKS quite a large tabby tom, stormstar's build is not typically what one would call average. however, it's not too far off. his size appears larger than it truly is because of all of his fur. his breed, of course, is a maine coon, which can be told from the 'm' marking on his brow. his eyes are one of his most interesting features, as they are a mixture of pale greens and yellows. there's a few flecks of gold mixed in, and his eyes themselves are outlined in black tissue, much like the eyeliner used by twolegs. his pelt is made up mostly of grays and browns, but his back is shrouded in a dark almost black color, accompanied with tabby stripes striking their way across his body from all angles. there are irregular dustings of other shades all throughout his pelt, with the most notable being the golden brown found around his eyes, on the bridge of his nose, and at the top corners of his maw. his nose is a light auburn, resulting in a color somewhat related to orange and pink, though somewhere still in between.

OVERALL a tom whose build may be called stoic, stormstar, on the other hand, is mostly anything but. he's a hopeful tom, one who tries to look on the bright side of things, but when he's in a sour mood, boy is it infectious. he has a brother, but they've grown apart in recent moons. rumor has it that stormstar's best friend is pregnant by his brother, but that's another story all the same. stormstar is a friendly creature, and being the leader of his clan hasn't really seemed to change his life at all. however, he is determined, but not a rash, bull-headed kind of determined. he's more of a 'sit quietly and plot at a distance' sort of determined. likes to brew over his thoughts, y'know? so, if you ever wrong him, you're likely to worry yourself to death before he may do something, but was that the plan afterall?
his size may be called menancing by some, but the tom's been guilty of a love for fun since birth, especially since his mother and his brother were the serious types. his father, on the otherhand, was playful, and stormstar has retained many of the same traits. he's quick to the point, and often quite ornery. except, when it comes to she-cats, he's quite childish, despite his age. just as he likes to brew over his problems, he's sometimes speechless when it comes to the prettier gals. that's probably one of the reasons why his best friend's ended up with his brother. she'd always tried to talk to stormstar about feelings, but starclan forbid that he mention how he really felt. it's a sore topic, and stormstar likes to run away, often physically or emotionally, from those type of things.
kits enthrall him, and he's quite fond of mentoring them a bit before they become apprentices, sort of to test out their personalities so he can match them up with a good mentor. apprentices are also nice companions of stormstar, for he likes to teach them bits and pieces of knowledge both about their territory and the cats that came before him. he's a definite believer in starclan, and will often be caught praying when he's alone or hunting. sometimes he'll talk to himself when he's off doing those sort of things, and sometimes he simply speaks to his ancestors. however, in light of the current events, he's not so sure as to what's going to happen, as starclan has simply told him to trust his instincts with the new clan and all.
PAST stormstar and his brother galefeather were born to two faithful warriors of forestclan. their love of starclan inspired their boys to become the best warriors that they could, and they did their best to do so. but enough of that. galefeather was a momma's boy, and he's about as serious as a heartattack, and he's always been that way. their father was ornery, and stormstar's always been that way too. since birth, storm and his brother have always had a bit of a problem getting along. their father died when they were four moons old, and stormstar's always been affected by the loss, but it's not something he likes to talk about.
