AGE 32 moons
GENDER She-Cat
RANK Warrior
CLAN Cloudclan
LOOKS Small but big-boned, Flickerflame can pack a surprisingly hard punch. She looks like a feather could knock her off her tiny little feet, but it's going to take a lot more than a cuff to the ear to unbalance her. She treads lightly an is flexible enough to maneuver through many different types of obstacles, but even this cat has her weaknesses. She is not fast. Most cats can outrun her, even though she's pretty fit. She just can't seem to get her legs to move fast enough.
Overall, she is a pretty cat. No scars to boast of, a rather proportional body, perhaps not quite as slender as she would like to be, but not burly. She has gorgeous amber eyes that light up when she is happy, and practically glower when she is upset. Her fur is soft and fuzzy, white banded with brown. One would not first think "warrior" to look at her. If it weren't for the muscle, she could easily be mistaken for a kittypet. But don't. Please, for your own sake, don't.
LIKES Playing, socializing, toms, family
DISLIKES Comments about how small she is, her family coming to harm, disrespect
FEARS Losing her siblings
HOPES To be a respected and awe-inspiring part of the clan
OVERALL
I'm a passionate cat. Some say I'm too passionate, because I can't let be the things that I don't like. What do I say to them? Yeah, right. Being too passionate isn't even a thing. I'll fight for whatever I like to fight for, ya got it? I love my family, I love my clan, I love the life of a warrior. Don't ever cross me on these things, because I swear you won't walk the same afterwards. I'm glad we got that settled. Now would you like to go for a jaunt along the beach?
I got my name from my light bark-colored stripes. I think they're pretty. Don't you? I mean, despite my large bones, I know a couple toms who would agree that I'm a rather fair specimen of a she-cat. I have also been complimented on my yellow eyes. Sometimes I think that a darker color would go more nicely with my stripes, but then I realize that that pop of color is a pretty cool contrast with my pelt. Anyway, you toms out there, if you don't compliment me on how I look, you're done. You also have to be pretty attractive yourself, because otherwise we would look weird together. You know. That's how it goes sometimes.
In battle, I like to go hard. I would give my life if my clan required it. Or my family. They mean the world to me, and if I die defending them, I will consider it an honorable and worthwhile death. Therefore, when I fight, I use my claws and teeth to the best of my ability and never let up on my opponent until the proper time to check if they surrender. You're welcome, clan. I know some of you can't say the same, but you have little to fear until I'm dead.
Talk to me, I'm really friendly! As long as you can stand how blunt I am and aren't a complete mousebrain, we can be close in no time.
PAST
I have always been under the impression that my past is not as normal as it seems, from the way certain older cats treat me and a few furtive glances they have always thrown my way, but I have never really been able to pinpoint what exactly was going on. As far as I can remember, I was just another cat in Cloudclan, the only really odd thing about my life being my giant family.
I mean, seriously. I have six brothers and siblings! I remember when we were just kits. I still have no idea how our mother dealt with us. I don't know if I would have her kind of patience should I be saddled with the responsibility of seven little cats! Or eight, I supposed, but one of them died, lessening the burden somewhat. I can guarantee you that we were plenty of a handful, even with our ranks thinned by one. Minnowkit was the boss of us, sure, but I never was one to let anyone else tell me what to do. I could raise hell, and that trouble-maker in me came out to play whenever Minnowkit got too bossy. I would say that if she was the born leader of the group, I was that cat that is always trying to defy the leader, always trying to rally the rest of the cats to her cause. Now I respect my sister as a leader, and like most of her decisions, but if I don't, I'm not afraid to tell her so.
I don't remember much of my siblings during my apprenticeship. I was so caught up in my own life and training and troubles and triumphs that no one else could possibly have had a life interesting enough to detach me from my own world. It was during that time that I developed a vain streak- I know that I was the prettiest of the she-cats in my family. If we were in a group and a tom was caught looking our way, well, I do believe that everyone knew he was looking at me. Therefore, I felt the need to keep up my appearance. Ya know, I would dare say that I wasn't just the prettiest she-cat in the family, I was probably the prettiest apprentice in the clan.
Sometimes I think I should have spent more time thinking about my training that my looks. Not often, but occasionally. I think back to the time when Shadowpaw and I were out hunting by the Duskclan border and were surrounded by a patrol of their warriors. I was so scared my mind completely blanked. I knew how to fight! I just couldn't remember, not for the life of me. Then Minnowpaw came with the leader, and acted as if Shadowpaw and I weren't capable of defending ourselves. She sent me back to get help! Whatever. I did it admirably, and the rest of the Clan helped them out. For some reason, Minnowpaw was made a warrior after that. For once in my life, I held my tongue.
Shadowpaw and I were the next two to get our warrior names, becoming Shadowstream and Flickerflame. Some time after us, the last two finally made it through training. I remember Minnowflash having two apprentices, and Shadowstream getting one shortly after being named a warrior, but I have yet to mentor anyone. That day will come, though, and I'll show up my family as I usually do.
