AGE thirty six moons
GENDER female
RANK deputy
CLAN forest clan
LOOKS
by any human, or two-leg, islewhisper would be called a caracal. she would be more commonly found in the deserts of Africa more then the forests of [luminous]. If you were to look at her you would see that for a caracal she is very small like the actual size of a normal cat. Her body is about the same length of a normal caracal, two feet. her tail is both abnormally long and a tad fluffy at the end. her legs are a bit short for a caracal and one of them has a sort of crook in it that pushes it off to the left too much, but it doesn't change her balance for the most part. her head is very round, though her chin is very triangular. for the most part her fur is short and sleek, lying flat on her back. the color of her fur is very grey, like a storm cloud, but her underbelly is a slight cream color with dime sized grey dots on her chest to her mid section and along the insides of her legs.
islewhisper's eyes are a light pale green, but more then anything they look yellow. auburn flecks lurk in abundance around her pupil, but you can't normally see them unless you look really hard, though they do show when something really interests or excites her. her ears are tall and narrow. Along the edges they are lined with black and on the tips there are tufts of hair, like a lynx's. her paws are large and wide with sharp ivory white claws concealed in the fur and skin. her doesn't have any scars that show, but under the cream colored fur of her chest and her under belly she has a cross like burn and on her hip there are two claw marks that penetrate deep into the flesh of her flank, but it has healed over time and itches at irregular intervals.

OVERALL
often quiet, this she-cat is not one to speak in a constant manner. often times it is not because she doesn't know what to say, but rather that she is weighing her words down and questioning how to approach a topic. and those this happens most of the time, do not think she cannot be stubborn or bullheaded when she puts her mind to it. often her words will carry great thought, she generally will not reply rashly, everything is a calculated step with words. however, when she finds a spot of contention where she has a legitimate and solid stand, the she-cat can easily become argumentative and persistent. she likes to be heard when it is necessary. but not often does she simply chat just to have a conversation.
a cat of the highest respect and loyalty, islewhisper is a cat who expects to be respected, and to be able to give respect. she looks down on those who think it is okay to question every little thing that she, or the leaders, do. and while she is a loyal cat to both clan and ancestors, she will not hesitate to do what is right. and this often will result in her being rebuked or punished, sometimes going against the grain is necessary in her eyes. unlike her speaking, actions are often a result of the heart.
while she is not an extreme tender heart to all around her, islewhisper is very much capable of compassion and concern. most of this is for her clanmates, especially since the arrival of the new clan around them, she has been tense and on watch always. she is very cautious and suspicious, not easily wavered by big eyes and lying tongues. when trouble comes, islewhisper will often be the first to react to it, when things go wrong within her clan, a high calling of duty and protection ride her to defend and protect.
PAST
islewhisper was born to Lily and Skylark. Skylark was originally from forestclan, but left when he found Lily in a fox trap. He cared for her in secrecy until she got better and during that time he fell in love. At first it wasn't the same for her, but after he left with her and cared for her it became apparent that she was denying her true feelings. So like any couple they decided to have a family and lo and behold comes three kits the next spring. silentkit, islekit, and Kara. islekite was a mirror image of her father who was originally shipped from the plains of Africa to [luminous] as a kit. he escaped his human owner and ran wild before joining forestclan. silentkit and kara both looked exactly like their mother, who coincidently was also shipped from Africa as a kit.
they grew up happy, all of them, until Lily went out hunting one day and never returned. she was ran over by a Hundai Senata on a small dirt road. Wrung with grief, skylark took the three kits back to forestclan. he left them where he knew a patrol would find them, they were six moons old, but still had the scent of their father on them. One of the cats on patrol recognized the smell and confirmed that they were skylark's kits, it was obvious with islekit there. All three kits were put into apprenticeship. isepaw's mentor was actually his own uncle, oaktail. Even though islepaw was like skylark in looks, she was even more like oaktail in personality. They were both quiet, they worked hard, and they hardly ever spoke a word to each other.
by the end of the apprenticeship islepaw was even quieter, but she was lean and muscular, brimming with good health. she never saw her father after the night she was made a warrior. Her father congratulated her and then took off into the night. oaktail died the next year and islewhisper had to say goodbye to the only 'friend' that really ever understood her. she was left with an aching in her heart that she could never stop.

SAMPLE
The lone forest was the only one that answered his call, their branches swaying in a steady wind, the rustle of birds in their nests, and then there was the every now and then squeak of a stray mouse in the distance. The silence was a peaceful thing, it always had been. It was a protection that he craved, a silent blanket that almost never stirred or lifted. It was the one true thing he could count on, the one thing he felt comfortable with. And it was all disturbed by that little cat that just had to hear his voice. Hoaxpaw was just an apprentice, Silentbasil knew that, but that didn't make the fact the kit had disturbed his peace any less annoying. The tom's ears flickered in slight annoyance as his eyes came upon the slim cat.
Her small frame approached him swiftly, white silver gliding against the brown of the sand and the dark colors of the rocks. "Hullo, Silentbasil. It's just me, I'm sorry to startle you if I did, it just surprised me that I had ventured this far." Her voice was just above a whisper, her eyes peering at him in an innocent sort of way. He nodded to her, not saying much was his specialty and any who didn't know that would learn. Hopefully she wouldn't feel inclined to stick around, after all Silentbasil isn't one for talking.... or even company so it would suck for both of them. And can you guess what happens next? Yeah, just what Silentbasil needs, a second figure coming towards him. And the second figure was not slowing down, at all.
Orange fur flashed to the tom's left, running past the two cats. "Hey ho! I'm Charredrunner" He said between gasping breaths of forest air. Silentbasil turned his head to look at the fiery tom who was getting up in a cloud of dust and earth. His ears flickered back and forth, watching and listening as Hoaxpaw began to yell at the older tom. Silentbasil's eyes narrowed as the apprentice began to talk rudely to the warrior, her elder. His jaw clenched, if there was one thing he hated it had to be way apprentices didn't mind their manners around all of their elders. Not all apprentices were like that, but a lot were and it irked him that they didn't show respect for all. "I know who you are, what gave you the sudden urge to make sand fly in our faces? It was quite unnecessary and rude!"
"Stop it, Hoaxpaw." Silentbasil spoke in a soft cold voice, his eyes shown of fury, the purple flecks in his eyes began to expand dangerously, the rings around his eyes became like the hottest purple flame. The length of his tail whipped through the air, not in a harsh, splitting way, aiming for Hoaxpaw's shoulder. She may have come to escape being an apprentice for awhile, maybe even wandered off a tad farther then she should have, but she needed to mind her manners. Silentbasil stared down at the apprentice, relaxing slightly, his shoulders and spine loosening up. "Quit your hissing." His voice stopped then, he was all out of talk. The purple in his eyes died down, he lowered his eyes then and nodded towards Charredrunner in greeting. He shifted his weight on his paws, waiting for Hoaxpaw to start hissing again.
